I am a hairdresser with lots of experience and I would recommend buying a deep conditionioner such as Wella, or Clairol...There are others, but make sure they are not just conditioners that you would use in the shower..You need a deep conditioning that you would put on your hair and scalp, and then either go under a dryer, or apply heat in some way, and then rinse it off after a period of time, such as approximately 30 minutes or so...This will work...I have conditioned customers and friends hair in this way, and it puts the shine and the life back into the hair...Good luck...we all abuse our hair from time to time, with all the processes we put it thru...dryers, perms, coloring, etc..
