Relationships are complicated things. Two people who are honest about themselves have the best chance of making it work, at least in theory.

But sometimes complementary 'dishonesties' work together without too many problems.

The whole thing is too complicated to make generalizations -- for any 'rule' you derive, there will be more exceptions than cases that follow it.

yes. it definitely takes both people to make a relationship work. it's supposed to be a partnership. unfortunately some people don't realize that.
