I will. I know my mom doesn't want to go to a old peoples home. so my husband and I are planing on putting a flat at the back of our house so my parents can live there and we will be there if they need our help. If they get really sick then I will quit work to look after them myself. I don't want them to be sad when the get old and frail. they looked after me for all the years I was at home why not do them the favour back, after all I love them

I would like to answer that with a question.
I am not trying to be snide or rude, which I think some readers may see this as.
Did your parents take care of you when you were really small by inviting you to stay in their house?

I will do whatever I can to take care of my parents when they need help, including moving them in, if necessary. I will not let them end up in one of those nursing homes. They have always been there for me and now I will do the same for them.

Yes, I took care of both my parents when they got old. My father had bone cancer that paralyzed him from the waist down and my mother was paralyzed from a stroke. It was hard but I have never regretted doing it. They are both gone now but I know they are happy and together again.

Yes i would because I love my mum and I would hate to put her in a nursing home especialy when I know how much she detests them.
