Considering leaders of todays world, and yesteryears. I can only commened respect to Alexander the Great. Who through adversity and bravery went and battled wars with his country folks at all occasions.
In retrospect to todays leaders, who I believe shouldnt be called leaders since they do not lead by example. Whatever happened to leaders like Alexander the Great?

No doubt, Alexander was one of the top 2 or 3 military leaders in the history of the world. However I don't think that politically he was all that wonderful. If he was, the society he built would have endured for more than the like 5 minutes it took for his generals to divy up his empire. I also dont think it's entirely relevant to compare today's leaders with the leaders of antiquity. Communications and other technology require a completely different set of skills for military leadership than they did then. A general on the ground in Iraq today has to deal with far more issues and would actually be far less effective running around on the ground at the head of his division taking bullets. The days of cavalry charges led my a nation's leader are long gone. But yes, Amexander was THE MAN.

Alexander is a kid to Prophet Hajrat Muhamad (SM) as Muhammad ( SM) was not only a militery leader but he was a unique example of ruler, policy maker etc etc. First of all he is the man who need to be consider as example of all human beings. The veiws what ppl says about muslim now a days, I m sure that wont be that long as Islam doesnot teach about terrorism. I do not understand why for some misleaded muslims, ppl call all muslim like that. I think muslims r waiting for another great leader who is suppose to born according to the quran.

None of the above. The greatest Greek warrior emperor of all times was Basil II Boulgaroktonos. He spent most of his reign (almost 50 years) in a constant campaign against Bulgarians, Arabs, Saracens, Khazaris and rebellions by Byzantine noble men. He was worshiped by his army and loved by everyone except Nobility and the Church. Also an extremely capable administrator who was running an empire on the back of his horse. At the time of his death in 1025 the Empire was richer and stronger than ever was.

Mohammad is an example for all men? When he was 54 years old he married a 6 year old girl and consummated the marriage when she was 9. Some example!
What about Kublai Khan, he expanded on his fathers empire and ruled the largest empire in human history.

I'm not sure the world needs another Alexander the Great.

He earned his title The Great by conquering the World's biggest empire (at the time) and then caught ill and died.

Think of it this way -

Iraq >> George Bush >> Wants more soilders >> ???

That's what Alexander would want, more soilders to conquer - Except Bush has a supposedly different reason for wanting more soilders.

Alexander the great was a leader who invited his enemies to visit him so that he could study them and keep them close and he learned what there weakness was and preyed on that until there will is broken.he won wars based on weakness not strength.he inspected what he expected.
