It's a beautiful country with a passionate people. Baghdad could be one of the most beautiful cities in the ME. This is the birthplace of civilization. Home for the stories of Daniel in the Lion's Den, Jonah's refusal to go to Ninevah, and Radashac, Meshac, and Imbendigo.
It's about Assyrians, Babylonians, and Persians. A blend of ancient people of Islam, Judiasm (not many, today) and Christianity. Iraq boasts one of the first churches established by the Apostle Paul.
It's the home of Nebechunezaar and the Hanging Gardens.
If they would just stop killing each other and live in peace, this would be a wonderful place.

Been there, done that, even bought the damn shirt . I just don't think 20,000 troops are enough . In all honesty I think we should send another 50,000 troops , and root the insurgents out . That will also send a message to other countries , "don't mess with the US".

Funny looking people with tea towels on their head, preference to goats over women, some nice craters in the landscape courtesy of the allied forces......pretty awful place that time forgot until GWB put it back on the map, or should I say blew it off the map........

i think it depends who you are and what is the latest on the news headlines. i personly dont think it is bad it just has more tension instead of relaxedation than aussie if some bad happens they talk about it and it gets a bad name
