Depends on your budget, there's a gorgeous hotel on the quayside (not too far from town) called malmaison. You could also go on yell.com and put NE2 (town centre's postcode) and look for hotels that way. There's a lot in the Jesmond area, which is about 15/20 min walk to town but it's a pretty nice and safe area (btw i would avoid the Fenham area - but i don't know if there's many hotels there anyway)

If your just looking for a place to reswt your head then try the jury inn. Its actually just in gateshead but only a walk across the bridge to newcastle.
If your lookin at a bit mor luxery then go to the copthorne on the quayside. Expensive but worth it. If your dont mind being just outside the town centre you an try Jesmond. There are loads of bed and breakfasts and hotels and its only a metro ride into town or you can stay in jesmond and try osborne road for a good drink.
Enjoy yourself while your here!!

at the top end of the market is the Malmaison on the riverside, the singer Prince once stayed in the penthouse, the Royal Station hotel is very classy and close to the action.. there are also a lot of nice hotels in the trendy up market area of Osborne road in Jesmond just outside the city centre.....one of if not the most vibrant city in the country so enjoy....

Malmaison. Ideal location for nightclubs, the quayside and all it's attractions... the Sunday market, the Blinking Eye bridge, the Sage building, loads of restaurants and dozens of other stuff to do. Only a short way from all the shops too. Really nice hotel.

If money is no object then we have the Hilton and the Copthorne in the city centre near to the River Tyne and there are numerous travel lodges scattered about the area. Good Luck in your search and enjoy our city.

Plenty of cheap B&B's in Jesmond (about 5 mins by taxi from city centre) - and there's a Youth Hostel in the area too.

Hey there are two good options, if your not concerned about money you can stay at the crown plaza, its right on the foreshore and really nice however is very close to newcastles most popular nightclub fannys, if your budget isnt that large you can stay at noahs on the beach, its right on the beach and reasonably priced.
