They all perform much the same task - which one to use is a matter of personal taste. Remember: only a bad workman blames his tools... At the end of the day a presentation is an incredibly simple thing - if a presentation looks terrible, it's not a software problem...

Microsoft PowerPoint is the only one I know of and is very easy and simple to use.

Even with no previous experience it is very easy to create a simple presentation.

As you become more experienced you can experiment with colours and include animations, graphs etc.

Theres a program very similar to Powerpoint which is part of the Open Office suite, its free and you can download the tutorials.

If you want a pro suite then I guess you'd choose the MS one, especially if its for work and they pay for your software. But for most straightforwards stuff the free one is as good.
The biggest downside of PP is the pricetag, after that I think a lot of the templates are cheesy.

I like Powerpoint, its very easy to use
