Right now it is in Chinese, how do I change it to english?

Languages can be harder to change.
Just go to "rarlab.com" and download an English version. That is the easiest way.

There is no way to change it, winrar does not allow or support language change, you have to download the correct language installer. It sounds like your version from Captain Pugwash didn't tell you the language it was. If you go to the winrar site you can download the free version in your language AND you get the opportunity to buy if you want the extra features! All good stuff!

The easy way to change Winrar into English language is not uninstall and install again. What you need to do is just remove 2 files that's all.
Go to C:\Program Files\WinRAR folder remove RarLng.dll and Winrar.lng.
If winrar change English to other language maybe is cause by windows region and language setting. Go to control panel find Region and Language -> Administrative tab -> Change system locale to English.

Guys I have reinstalled the english version multiple times and it still is in an unknown language. Someone needs to tell how to change it other than downloading the english version

My version changed to Arabic. I know enough to recognize it but not read it. The above mentioned .dll doesn't seem to be in the WinRar files. ...ok. removed rar.lng and winrar.lng. Seems to be fine now. Thanks

You people are not to bright. its easy. Delete Rar.lng and Winrar.lng and it goes to the default. you skip that and reinstalling will not help. as those files will keep switching it that are left behind..
