Perhaps you should try going to bed a bit earlier the night before.

Also, if having a shower then falling asleep again is something you do everyday, you are becoming accustomed to it IE: it's becoming a habit. You need to try and not do this.

One way is directly after your shower, why not walk out to the kitchen (adequately covered of course..lol) and make a cup of coffee or tea, then when you have made it, if not dressed head back to your bedroom.

Once you get yourself out of the habit of continually falling back asleep, you'll find the difference it makes

Hey!

Do you use a radio alarm? I find it helps if i put the volume on my clock radio up louder than usual. When it goes off in the morning I jolt awake, compared to when I wake up sometime later and hit the snooze button. When I have woken up, I usually don't go to sleep as easily like when there's a noise in the night. When you have gotten up, the first thing you should do is splash some cold water on your face. This is another shock for your body, which can make you more awake, then have a nice shower and enjoy your day!

Trying showering before going to bed at night. Then set your alarm clock for 6am. An extra half hour sleep could do the trick.

I turn the shower steaming hot and then after about 30 seconds turn it ice cold. I do it constantly while I'm showering. Trust me, it wakes you up.

I assume you got to bed early enough to get 7 or 8 hrs of sleep. If so, you have to look at what you're doing with your life. What are you getting up for? If it's something that excites you, you'll want to rise n shine.
