Perhaps his reply was in defense so you wouldn't see how bad he felt. I would talk it out with him. Tell him just what you told us. It would be a pity to ruin something because you are both too proud to admit a mistake. If again he really does want to split then you will at least know how things stand. Good luck

My girlfriend did the exact same thing, and a month later I realized how big of a mistake I made and how much I wanted her back. I asked her if she was ready to get back together, and she said God told her it wasn't right and he broke us up for a reason. I finally figured out the reason. It was so I would learn from all the stupid things I put her through and all the things I should of went out of my way to do for her and didn't. Well turns out she started talking to another guy, and didn't want me back. Well the guy is gone now, and we still see each other all the time, talk on the phone, kiss, and say I love you to each other everyday, but we are still not together. It is very confusing, and I don't know what to do to make things right again, and get her back. So my advice is tell him as soon as possible how you feel and how sorry you are for what you did. Tell him how stupid the fight was and you want him back. The sooner the better don't wait a month like I did.

Relax. It may be good for both of you. Remember the best part of an argument is making up. Give him a call in a few days & go from there.

Ya don't. Just go on with it. A break could be a good thing for both of you. Take the break, and then resume. It's that easy.

If he breaks up with you it's b/c he isnt happy. tell him how you feel and if he still wants to take a break, the you dont have many options. I'm sorry your hurting right now but, you dont want to be with someone who isnt happy with you

Let him go. Even if you havent asked for it, since he did admit that he needed a break he would have. If he comes back to you its great else move on with life.

You may have, during an argument, came out with your true feelings.

talk to him calmly explain that you said it as a reaction to the argument. The only thing you can do is talk this one out...

there is power in your words.....they will either condemn or justify your actions. Next time control your tongue (if there is a next time with that boyfriend)
