No - sometimes we just like to say things out loud. Its not a concious think, and we aren't having a converstation, its usually just something like "Argh, what was it I needed?" and things like that. You probably do it too without realising. Ever stubbed your toe and shouted out, even though no one was there?

It may be because of voices maybe they see someone that isn't really there ,schizophrenia is a lot more common then people would think, some people just have the habit of talking to them selves to help remember things or working out what to say to someone, could be anything in the world you'd have to ask them to know why theyre doing it

Not necessarily hearing voices. They could be rehearsing a speech or just organising their thoughts for whatever they're going to. I often do it to review a route I'm going to take or travel (I'm a coach driver) and some people find that vocalisation helps to clear the mind and sort out exactly what they want to be doing.

Why is this in the 'mental health' section? Its pefectly normal I'd say. I'm learning a new language and always need to prepare what I need to say before I say it, otherwise it just comes out as an incoherrent mess. So, I sometimes practice stuff when just going about my daily chores and there is noone else around. That said any impportant things on my mind and I need to talk to someone about something oftn I'll talk out loud to myself, it helps get stuff straight.

Not necessarily; many people think out loud when trying to work something out. Anyway - most people I have spotted do have mobiles - just very small plug in ear types.

I do it all the time and am always telling myself off for something or other. In fact I am doing it right now.
Just remembered, when my son was young, he would talk in his sleep and I had conversations with him. Amazing what information I used to get from him.
