I am a color and corrective color specialist. Definitely do NOT rebleach your hair. That will only serve to destroy your hair even further. You need a toner or a demi-permanent shade to apply to remove the brassy tones. Toners can be found at any beauty supply store that is open to the public, such as Sally Beauty. Toners to look for are by Clairol (Born Blonde) or Wella (Color Charm). Try a neutral shade and avoid anything either ashy or golden. Ashy shades will give you green or blue tones and the gold will still keep brassy tones. Neutral (such as beige blondes) will definitely make your hair look great.

{ in response to your e-mail. it wouldn't let me send directly to you: Toners are very gentle on the hair. Here is what you do: Get a beige blonde toner (a champagne color usually), Clairol Creme Toner is usually gentler. It comes in a 2 oz. bottle. So that you don't add any extra stress to your hair, mix it with 3 oz of 10 volume developer.

Once you are done with that, I would recommend finding a salon nearby that sells Matrix products and get a conditioner called Biolage Hydrating Balm. It is a deep, intensive conditioner that helps make your hair alot easier to manage and keeps it in far better condition that it was before. You can also find it in stores called Trade Secret found in most malls. if you need any further help, please, don't hesitate to e-mail me. }

I once bleached my own hair in high
school, it turned bright light orange!
So here are your options:
1. Use a champagne blond toner
2. Use a wash out color rinse to tone down the color.
Please do not not use a light sliver
blond--I did and my hair turned blue!
And remember the hair needs a toner everytime it is bleached. (even when the roots are being done.)

Highlight little parts of your hair a bit darker at a time, about every week or so. It'll soon look darker.

you will need more bleach to lighten it. You didn't keep the bleach on long enough.
