can anyone explain to me how do we justify some candles cost £70? do they put gold in it? or dimond dust or something?

I don't know, exactly. It could be the manufacturing process. But I do know the more expensive candles burn longer and cleaner. They smell better, too, and the scent is true. I use Yankee Candles and Root candles. Both are around $20.00 for a large jar candle. The scents are fabulous - whatever the Yankee candle scent - it smells just like that when burning. Jar candles in both brands last a long, long time. The wax does not "tunnel" as in some other candles.

I have bought cheaper candles and have frequently been disappointed. Although the brands I like are more expensive than some of the others, there are candles that are much more costly. I think it's a matter of preference and what fits the individual's budget. I'd rather have one $20.00 Yankee or Root in a scent I love than three or four less expensive candles that are not going to burn well or smell good.

The wax has a undeniable chemical in it that makes the candle burn calmly. in case you ever observed, the candles you purchase at say Walmart will burn all the way down to an unusual shape. many circumstances the wick gets lost interior the pool of melted wax and then dry up interior it making it impossible to burn the candle returned. Yankee candles are designed to burn calmly and all the way all the way down to the backside of the wick. real, they cost extra yet you will replace them much less. and for sure the scents are an extra bonus!

No-one justifies it, just like no-one has to buy them and waste their money on pointless trinkets.

normal marketing nonsense.

while there are people who even consider buying these items, there wil be people to make them.

Products are priced according to what people will pay, not what they are worth.
