Do you notice the pain more in the morning? You could have plantar fascitis. I have it and it's caused when you have "flat feet' or fallen arches. At night the muscle on bottom of your foot constricts and then in the morning when you stretch it it gets microtears and causes pain. Eventually your body perceives this as a break and sends calcium to repair it resulting in a heel spur. I went to a podiatrist who has me wearing arch supports in my shoes now. It really helps. Good luck!

I had similar problems about a year ago and I was diagnosed by a podiatrist with something called plantar fasciitis. It is when the tendons and muscles of the sole of the foot are contracted and causes pain, especially after waking up in the morning. You can look up plantar fasciitis on the internet as well as several arch supports to correct it. Good Luck!

Not sure but it sounds like heel spurs. I had them and a friend of mine had them. She got shots for them and they hurt like crazy. She recommended that I wear heel inserts (just go to the drug store) and honest to goodness, they seemed like a waste but THEY WORKED!
