No, there's nothing at a gym that you couldn't do at home.
1) Lifting objects in different manners
2) Walk up and down stairs
3) Jog on spot
4) Do repetitive exercises i) push-ups
ii) sit-ups
iii) squats
The gym really is the biggest rip off ever. Why pay to do exercise, when it can be done almost anywhere for free. The only way the gym helps is to mentally prepare you for the exercise. Just do that before you go home - convince yourself you will do something. That way, you don't stuff money into some steroid addled, shrunken dicked gym owners pocket.

I just got back from the gym. I don't enjoy it at all - I have to force myself to go but I didn't go at all over Christmas and only have to look in the mirror to see the difference a few weeks makes. Go on - do it! You know it'll be worth it in the end! (And why should I be the only one suffering ha ha.)

Go for it. You have to motivate yourself though or you waste 5 points asking us everytime you think you should go! There's no time like the present.
