Because their scientists are still not sure whether we have been converted fully and properly. So they are waiting.

There is a logical theory, claiming that humans and monkeys evolved from the same ancestors. But nobody claims that humans evolved from the same kind of monkeys that exist today.

Humans are related to monkeys and apes, but we did not evolve "from" them. About 5 millions years ago, an ape-like creature gave rise to both humans and apes. This concept is called evolutionary divergence.

Suppose humans actually were created by Adam and Eve. What color were they? White? Black? Red? Yellow? Or will you say that they were multicolored at first? And their children took each colour after many generations? And how could TWO persons create an entire race? There is only one way and as far as I know the Christian dogma declares incest as a sin... Go figure...
Coming from the apes sounds crazy to me as well. Or let me just say incomprehensible. But Two persons breeding an entire race also sound quite silly as well.

I've always wondered that myself.
By that rationale there should be apes sprouting into humans all over the place.
