Why it is like this?

Most of the followers of goddess durga are vegetarian whereas goddess durga rides on a lion which is a strict non vegetarian.Why it is like this?

No logical answer, but you can see it as a symbol of shakti.

most of the kings rode horses & elephants & hunted animals for pleasure & they ate what they hunted. now u ride scooter & drive your car. do u drink petrol instead of water ?
