"Knock and the door shall be opened for you. Ask, and it shall be given."
Great promise huh? Question is, which door? And what is supposed to be given?
Alot of us have this notion that God is a magical genie, and he'll grant you three (or more, depending on your version) wishes. A new car, a great job, an education or maybe just winning the lottery. But it doesn't work that way.
God has power & authority over you. He has His will. But what he's given you are two very great things- free will and opportunity. At some point or another, you would have made some great decision that lead you to where you are today. And if you made a bad one, you'd have ended up in a rut (trust me, i know this).
The point is, you don't just pray for help, you pray for guidance, get it, and follow it. Make the right decisions, take the right paths and get on your way- happy.
Think about it. God does make promises, and he does offer you what you need, you just need to know what to do.
And by the way, all the things people tell you about God having His will for you, and knowing what's best for you, are true.

Who said that God said all those things written in the bible? Today I could write a book and tell you that God said all these things.
And as far as miracles of 'God' are concerned, miracles are nothing great, really, there are several people who can perform miracles, so performing a miracle does not make you God.
Religions have humanised God. God does not have a body, and hence does not have a gender, does not 'think', does not 'do' anything.
God is the energy which keeps you alive, and that is what decides what is best for you and whether your prayers should be answered or not. So effectively, you are your own God, and you create your own destiny.

Even if our prayers seem to go unanswered, this does not mean that God did not hear them.
Basically prayers involve confession (2Ch 30:22), petitions or requests (Heb 5:7), expressions of praise and thanksgiving (Ps 34:1; 92:1), and vows (1Sa 1:11; Ec 5:2-6).
When you pray do you address God by his personal name Jehovah? Psalms 83:18.
The Bible assures us:
“The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous ones, and his ears are toward their supplication.” (1 Peter 3:12) So Jehovah God hears the prayers of righteous ones, whether they are spoken audibly or uttered in the heart. (Jeremiah 17:10) Jehovah also examines the thoughts and feelings behind each prayer, which even the one praying may neither fully understand nor be aware of.—Romans 8:26, 27.
However, prayers must meet certain requirements if they are to be acceptable to God. First, they must be directed exclusively to God—NOT TO Jesus, to a “saint,” or to an idol. (Exodus 20:4, 5) Prayers must also be offered in the NAME of God’s Son, Jesus Christ. (John 14:6)
Perhaps with this knowledge you may find your prayers more readily answered.

Well, check your prayers again then.
Maybe the following happened to you :
1. You pray for something impossible in human sense, like hoping that you'll be able to fly.
2. You don't pray hard enough. Everybody prayed that they win the lottery, so if you don't, may be you lost in your prayer since lottery can't have two winners at the same time.
3. You angered God by doing sins.
4. You pray for something good to happen but you don't try hard enough to achieve it.

Bob isn't perfect yet Bob's answer is totally in step with the present questioning in quantum mechanics that the mere commentary differences the great results of particular experiments. between the most important problems with files is that the overall public of folk who use them haven't got a clue about files. you're saying "we" have executed statistical sorting out. in case you've been in touch as your use of the time period "we" shows the position are your outcomes? because you haven't written your outcomes in the way a statistician might want to i'm suggesting you're using the time period "we" to intend contributors of the human race of that you're also a member, or perchance you're using "we" to intend you're making a huge difference between those who be counted on a prayer answering God and those who do not and also you're at the same time with your self in the latter crew. both way, you're making mere assertions that are literally not supported by authentic files. Your so-referred to as attempt is such as a documentary I once observed the position quite some non secular human beings were praying for particular terminally unwell human beings. This became a television stunt that had no medical value i'm afraid. For an attempt to be scientifically valid you need to have the ability to administration all of your variables and this became no longer some thing like a managed ecosystem.

God is compassionate. A child asks too many things from mother. Every thing is not good for him. Mother delivers him whatever is good for the child. Mother at times make exceptions in it and child suffers later, however God avoids such exception. Prayer r answered with only for a receptive mind. A non receptive mind cannot even enjoy whatever is already given to it.

Even Jesus asked his Father if there was any other way but than His dying on the cross. The answer was no.
I know two teenagers who died in a crash several years ago. I am sure there parents always prayed for their safety. A crowd of a thousand attended their funeral...some of which gave their life to the Lord or rededicated their life to Him. Life on earth is so short compared to eternity. I am sure these two boys are happy with the outcome.
On the other hand, I know several people, including my mother and my husband whose lives were miraculously saved.
God has a plan. Remember: suffering on earth is temporary.

we should know that God is the creator of lives, and there's nothing he can't do. Jesus is the son of God, in the bible, there's a chapter mentions that Jesus himself sometimes need to pray several times until God answer his prayers. if your prayers are not answered by God, pray more, and have absolute FAITH.

You cant have it all. No one can. If everyone's wishes and prayers are granted, then what's the point of life? Remember that life itself is a test from God. If you believe in God and in the life Hereafter which alone is eternal, then you should keep on believing in Him and praying for His Grace and Mercy, because if He doesn't grant your wishes now, He will compensate them in the Hereafter. This is what Islam teaches.

You have to figure out God's system before you can begin to milk it. God doesn't help you with everything, but you just have to observe his system. The more you observe about the system the more you can pray for things and get some things to go your way. All consequences are built into the system. If you do things that go against the system, you die off quicker by disease or fatal injury. Observe, observe, observe and pray pray pray.
