my dad has a bottle of rum he drinks with his pepsi sometimes its a little bit over half full. i thought about drinking some and putting some water back in it. i thought since he mixes it he wouldnt tell but what do you think?

I did that and I got caught. It was not pretty. My suggestion is don't do it again, because it will be noticeable.

Rum doesn't have that much alcohol, so if you put something else, he'll feel the difference. Drink it without adding back other liquid. If he notice the difference, just say you don't know what he's talking about. But better make good excuse and get rid of any evidence like alcohol breath or smell on you.

It depends on the amount you remove. I assume that pops is pouring his drink over ice, so there's a bit of melting going on there anyway. By him mixing it with Pepsi, it further decreases the chances of detection. But if you remove too much, eventually he will tell the difference.

Sorry bub, but, if he knows his stuff, and as a usual drinker, he should, he'll detect it if the concentration in alcohol and aromas is wrong, and he should know that an opened bottle doesn't "go bad".
If you want a nip, find a way that is less likely to backfire, because even if he doesn't guess you're to blame, a frustrated drunkard's fury is liable to fall on everybody in the vicinity.

U can try it. he cant really accuse u of drinking it if he notices some is missing. but only drink some after he has. like the day after so he'll think he drank it. yeah u right u Can mix it with water just not to much to dilute it

I'm sure your dad did the same thing to his parents booze. He'll be looking for you to do the same thing. People forget that parents were young once too and usually remember what they did at their child's age and know what to look for. Including stealing drinks.
If you want to try some, just ask him or tell him you were thinking about grabbing some yourself, but thought it would be better to ask him first. He might just pour you one.

I used to do that with my Dad's scotch and he never knew. So add water or just drink it. Unless your dad marks the bottle he wont know how much he has left so just go for it.

It sounds like you shouldn't be drinking anyways, BUT, I know I'd be pretty ticked off if someone ruined my bottle of rum.

Of course he will. You shouldn't be sneaking his alcohol anyway. Maybe ask him if you can have a taste. You are most probably underage and want to get drunk. Even if you were to take some, it probably wouldn't get you drunk. You'll probably find you don't like the taste anyway. It's up to you but think about what he'll do to you when he finds out?

do it but dont water it down too much. Good luck!!! Dont get caught!! or better yet spend your allowance on your own bottle. Just wait outside the liquor store and ask someone to get it for you.

Well it depends how much you take. If you took out one drink he probably wouldn't notice. But if you take more than that and water it down, it will be noticeable.
