Not in many ways. But then i have to admit still we are dependent to some other countries for technical and financial aids.
We have greater amount of human resources and wealth of assets which are not utilized properly. Even talented people tend to immigrate to foreign countries as our country is not able to satisfy them by providing right job and revenue for them. With these talents, other countries are able to go on and do something really batter that make our country being dependent.
Even for food items, we are dependent to some other countries as we don't have enough facilities to educate and train the formers to do better.
Be it a flight or military missile, we are still expecting big hands from the foreign countries.

Everyone is dependent upon others. It's a give and take my dear. But don't let yourself be completely dependent on others...be a little self-dependent also.

YES i think our country is depend on other country eg.th INA was made by the help of Japan,the technology is all exported from other country the main one China

yes every country depends on other countrie because of export and import PLZ take it seriously if you can then tell the people of india that make friendship with pakistan
because this way indians can trade with pakistan and afghanistan and central asia more easily

Yes it is dependent for some of the resources which is it lacking.
It's all because of the lack of proper finance.
it would become sufficient soon.
future exploration would improve the oil and petroleum wealth.
