Don't think you can adjust the receiver. Just make sure the battery in your fob is good (read the handbook about replacing it).
The "holding the fob against your head" trick works, too! Apparently your skull acts like an signal amplifier.

Hi there,
I have never came across cdl transmitter losing strength of signal, only battery losing power, each battery cell needs to be more 3.0volts, try recoding transmitters, plips as I call them.
coding plips,
sit inside car with doors closed but all unlocked, have all plips ready, put ignition key into ignition, without starting engine, turn ign key from OFF to ON 6 times within 10secs and remove key from ign barrel, hazard lights will flash 2 times, you have now started the coding process and have 2 mins to code any plips you have. Take each plip, press and hold the unlock button and then press lock button 3 times then let go of unlock button, the hazards will flash if plip is accepted, do the same with any remaining plips ( 4/5 in total) remember hazards will flash to let you know plip has been accepted, You must then re-insert key into ign and turn ign on, hazards will flash twice to finish process and retain plip info.
This process will work for most round shaped key/plips and even some square type key/plips but will not work on the plip for earlier primera's(p10), these have to be coded with consult and coding box

well you will have to take of the drivers door panel on the inside and remove the motor, after you do this you need a small flat head screwdriver then turn the screw on the bottom clock wise very slowly for 1 second, and then place back into the door and afix in place, then try the remote,
