That's the funny part. No one will ever truly know, so no one really loses. I always love the What if were right argument from Theists Like it is so convincing we will rush out & buy a bible or something. I have never seen a Atheist ask a counter what if we are right question. Even if they are right it says in the bible that non-beleivers will get what they want, death without after life So why the f*** are they trying so hard to convince us to join them? Oh yeah they want our money that's why.

As admitted, these are your BELIEFS:
a) there is nothing such as eternal life
b) we believe that there is only one death for a man
c) one death is eternal.
d) atheists die only once.
Qn: How do you know all the above beliefs to be true? What if you are wrong?)
You put on a bold front EVEN though these are beliefs not proven to be true by you. They are held by faith.
Indeed if hell is real you are only getting what you deserve. Yet your fatal mistake is to overlook or underestimate the reality of hell. It’s not whether you are fearful of hell or not. You may think you are not afraid of pain, how about subjecting yourself to some kind of torture? Hell will be many times that, as Jesus has said. Don’t belittle His words!
So what happens if Christians are wrong? We have lost nothing because if there’s no God and death is the end, there won’t even be any feeling of loss or disappointment because there’s no “me” after death. But if we are right that there is a God, then you are in for it BIG TIME!
Your trying to turn Pascal’s Wager against us actually backfires on you!

I understand you reasoning in this. But lets just say that as a christian, I can die peacfully. In the thought that beyond that white light is something .
But okay, lets just say that we are all just by products of science. That we came from apes and all that; I could believe it. I am a firm believer in evolution. But how did we get here?
I saw a cartoon once, late one night; about all the wars and tribes. Man, it was so chaotic! All the fighting and killing.
Then...
Suddenly, in a dark room, an old man stood in the center of this room, in front of him floated this small little ball (it looked like a marble), in his hand he held larger ball and he flung it towards the smaller one. And there inside that ball was another war.
What if?
What if this is how it really is?
I know call me stupid. But even as a christian, I still question things.

Yeah those guys are right. Christians do face better odds of winning the death lottery than athiests. I mean you can't win the lotto if you don't play.
Unless the key to ascending to a higher plane is a deeper understanding of nature and our own inner minds.
And that understanding is obstructed by medevil sciences based on classic fables. If that is the case still no harm no foul, it's most likely we will all get there (wherever that is) eventually.
In the meantime I am going to eat a lot of bacon.

Who said anything about Christians being cowards? George Washington was a Christian and no one can accuse him of being a coward. (Don't believe he is a Christian? then check out the prayerbook he wrote at http://www.amazon.com/Daily-Sacrifice-Prayers-Washington-Written/dp/B000ANPRGE/sr=1-1/qid=1169024700/ref=sr_1_1/102-1352941-8884951?ie=UTF8&s=books)
As for what I am loosing . NOTHING Before I became a Christian I was suicidal, a dirty slut who was at risk of catching a disease or two, an alcholic, an idiot who rarely opened any books, now I am a varacious reader. I am happily married and faithfull to my husband, and have a much better life then I did. If I am completely wrong about my faith I still gained more then I thought possible as a result of becoming a Christian. If I were not a Christian I have no doubt that by now I would be dead.

If Christians are right, atheists will lose eternal life. They will suffer forever in the bowels of hell and be tortured forever and ever. What an ending to have just because you are too pigheaded to the concept of the existence of God. If atheists are right, then we all die and decay and that's that. Big deal. I've lived my life praying to God that didn't exist and I lived my life trying to be a good person and an upstanding citizen and teaching my child morals and spent an hour in church each Sunday. Not big loss on my end.

You're mistaken. It is appointed unto man but once to die and after that the judgment. There is a resurrection for every person ever born on earth, some to eternal reward and some to eternal condemnation, which is the second death and is for those who refuse to repent, for Atheists, those who refuse to believe that they are more than just a product of nature, although God has given every Atheist the chance to hear about him. It's not just being permanently dead, it's being miserable for all eternity in the wretchedness that man creates for himself through resentment, bitterness, and anger.
Who are you trying to convince with your argument about death? Do you think that the Christian life of peace and joy in the knowledge of a loving God isn’t all that Christians say it is? Do you think heaven’s not worth anything that we might have to endure here on earth and conversely do you think hell is worth anything you might want to hang on to here on this earth?

Some people think it's o.k. to live by having a belief, no matter it's true or false (most of them think no way false), as long as they get benefits from it.
Others think it's not.
-----
People who have a belief of God, believe there will be better chance when they die compared to those who don't believe.
Others who don't believe such God, think that they have more meaningful life than those who are praying and believing what they think never exist.
-----
Who will lose, when they lose.. is a matter of point of view and preferences.

Eddy

People without a religion or god or God is Atheist
Following one religion, i believe is a choice and it is an additional condition/benefit that will add to his/her life's journey.
after death is still a question
happy is the main purpose of our life
So .. it is hard to say that to be Atheist or Christian or any region will loose something at the end .. it's depend on how we live our life .. some Christians believe that they can do all thing without interfere of God, but some do.
A religion is a way to help us to make this life more meaningful or how we do the life ...

Sure - appart from the fact that Eternal Life isn't about length of life primarily - it's about connection to The Life - ie God. So it starts now. Heaven is about the highest concentration of God (who defines goodness, life, truth, beauty, etc - everything we see on earth that have these characteristics are partial reflections of the source) and hell is just about absence of God (and all his characteristics) so if you want to be close to God and beauty and truth etc(in Jesus who is the ultimate expression of all that) now, you get more of it as you go on and it in concentration when you die (and the converse is also true).
God respects you enough to give you freedom to choose what you want both now and in eternity. Even if it did all end when they died (which very few people really believe) then Christians would have already known increasingly concentrated form of eternal life. Does that make sense?
