I'm assuming that these names wouldn't be hyphenated because they'd be way too long. I don't really like Jeramie for a girl, possibly because I know way too many male Jeramys. I think Roxiie Shaye flows better than Shaye Roxiie. It's traditional to give the firstborn, or firstborn male, the mother's maiden name as a middle name. I would love to do that because it signifies the blending of both sides of the family. Fortunately my maiden name is a unisex name.

Maiden names will be on birth certificate and marriage certificates, the easiest will be the marriage certificate if you know the approx date of marriage. You can pay to search online at places like genesreunited.co.uk and search under name and marriage date - look under the husbands name and next to it will be the maiden name of woman he married. You can also search through the records held at the Family Records Centre in london

If you want to do it without them knowing, you can find out through public records from where they were married or grew up.

Ask them, or someone who knows them. Look for newspaper articles listing wedding announcements, or obituaries in the newspaper archives. If they are famous look on-line.

You either need their marriage certificate or if you have the birth certificate of one of their children that would also give it.
