I'm really happy tonight. I had an argument with my better half before I left to work. I felt pestered about appointed times and forgetting somethings. She just wouldn't stop. I got upset and stopped talking. After I left for work and her saying nothing either I felt even more upset. But later I get a call from her and she said she was sorry. Thats all I wanted to hear. I'm really happy now!

The America has the pursuit of Happiness as part of it's constitution. That is why America is so hung up on happiness. What is the cost of this pursuit of Happiness as a society and individually. Happiness is fleeting, it is like our hunger for food. Our Happiness is only ever appeased it is never satisfied. Our world at the moment is Happiness driven, our economy’s survival is based around our need for Happiness. Consumerism basically revolves around the on going quest to attain Happiness. What does it take to make you Happy?
So what is lacking in this Happy Society that is strewn with the wreckage of broken relationships, crime, suicide, rape, murder, etc. etc. In a word “Joy”. Joy differs from Happiness because Joy cannot be purchased instantly like Happiness can. Joy comes over time and is made from our attitudes and beliefs. Joy as an Individual and as a society comes from the values we have and the way in which we conduct ourselves.
The greatest source of Joy comes from realizing our human potential for Love and mastering it. A good start for the Journey that is Love is to look to God for instruction on what love is.

I'm pretty conflicted right now. I've got a couple of issues I'm not sure how to deal with at the moment. But, it could be a lot worse and I'm happy about that.

is anybody really happy except for a few brief moments in this hard and brutal existence of ours....seriously, who is sooo happy all the time? sounds kinda gloomy, but I think its something like that...the media tells us too much crap that we should be happy all the time, the media has brainwashed us into thinking life should be about fun and pleasure...seriously, what has that got to do with happiness...a more appropriate question would be, "What exactly is happiness and what does it mean to you?"...and to answer your question, yes, I am happy enough to get to the next day

It's been a decade since I've been this happy. I am starting a terrific new job in a week, I'm cashing in 2 weeks of vacation pay at my current job, and I'm casting away all ties to the life I "used" to lead, with my ex.
I'm a new man! But alas... I'm still an atheist. :)

I'm the happiest father in the universe because I have the cutest 2 year old daughter who randomly comes up to me and says: I love you daddy!

The only thing that would make me happier would be if you stepped in front of a moving bus.
