Ya, quite a good number of people are like that! One of my closest relative is one of them. She always try to be away from the crowd. Even when some one out of respect or interest, if they try to speak to her, her curt replies indicate that she doesn't want any more queries. She will try to find some excuse and slip from from that place.
On the contrary, when she is alone, she would complain that no body pays attention or respect to her!
I think it is due to the habit one developed from childhood. Basically such people are more knowledgeable and rationale when compared to others. This embeds ego in their mind and expect that every time every one should appreciate their views. But, unfortunately, they become speechless in the crowd and loose attention. If it happened in their childhood, the effect of seclusion is quite high.
This is changeable. Even we dont like to be in the crowd, force intially yourself to be present. Participate, passively, in others comments and laugh. Slowly, u will get used to this atmosphere and start contributing your views to them. U will be accepted soon!
Like, 'Dragunov_knight' commented, start going to parties with your friends, u will soon start giggling like any other girl!

hellz yeah. you just need more practice being around people. Try joining a club or something, that way you can find people with similar interests.

Please read the question you asked 22 hours ago about hurting yourself. I answered it just few minutes ago. Take care. And remember someone out there always loves you. You are never alone.
