I assume you meant "defend *against* the corruption of their religion."
I suspect that they don't because they secretly harbor extreme ill-will against the West and Israel. I think they are somewhat pleased when terrorists strike.
The same kind of quiet approval happens here in the West. If the West is truly honest with itself, it can honestly accept that it needed a bloody revenge for the 9/11 attacks. Looking past the facts in the build-up to the Iraq war is the result.

What do you mean with the corruption of our religion ?Islam is the most complete,logic,fair and uptodate religion with its life guide in the holy qur'an and hadith.Holy qur'an is maintained its genuinity by Allah the only one God.There in no corruption in Islam religion.Allah prohibited corruption as spoken in the holy qur'an that muslims should seek a halal (not prohibited) livelihood
and spend it in the halal ways too.Corruption is non halal income that will give great sin to its earner/receiver..You must separate Islam as a religion and the conduct of its followers.Some of its followers will be a corruptor although in the holy book it is not allowed by Allah.These muslims are not comply to the holy qur'an.I think corrupten are any where and any time in any country muslim or non muslim Corruption will depend to the faith of its follower whether he/she is strong or weak.If someone has a weak faith it is easy to be tempted by satan to do a wrong doing.
We must aviod corruption and we should abolish it .We must prosecute the corruptors with hard punishment if we have a strong evidence and do not defend them..But if someone accused to be a corruptor without strong eveidence he/she should defend it...

All the believers defend the corruption of their religion. That's why they're called followers.

Because there's no corruption to begin with, and even IF there is, we dont defend corruption, instead we defend against corruption. Needless to say, there's NO way any corruption can enter into Islam as Islam is guarded rigorously by Islamic orthodoxy, hence the same authentic original holy Quran extant for over 1400 years and the same Islamic creed, i.e. there is no god but God (Allah) and Muhammad is His messenger, regardless of sects or other theological differences among Muslims.
Compare that to Christianity and Judaism.

You are miss-informed. Many Muslims here in the US and elsewhere in the world do not defend those who are terrorists. They do not support or agree with people who claim to be Muslims and yet do not obey the laws of the Muslim faith and mis-quote the doctorine to justify their hate and evil behaviors.
Judge a religion by the best people of any given faith, not by the least within the faith, those committing crimes, and other evils in the name of their religion are not whom you judge any religion by.
Here in Utah, can't recall the Catholic Bishop's name, but he was out of SLC until he was transfered to California recently. But he was asked about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, since many people think LDS people, also called Mormon's and Catholics can't get along. He is the one who said that you always look to the best people when you judge a religion, not disatents and those who run around bashing any given religion or causing harm to others. He was asked this question because he, a Baptist minister and the Prophet of the LDS church got along well and respected each others views and expression of faiths. The media wanted to know how that had occur, why they didn't fight with each other over religious views, etc.
You want to know the truth about Muslims, go find those who have honor in that faith, wherever you live and ask them about their faith and if they agree with what some people are doing, terrorist, in the name of the Muslim faith.

A crazy Muslim man raped me and my daughter. I got free and got a kitchen knife while he was busy with my daughter. I cut him from ear to ear. It made me feel good. I felt like a good mother and a patriot. I didn't tell anybody because we are very poor these days. Muslims are like that as far as I know. I watch out for them. They rape little girls and they fly big planes into buildings and kill thousands. Some religion, huh? Allah? You keep you version of Allah. Not the same as my God. Allah is not God.

Islam is not corrupt. Some "Muslims" who are really terrorist are.
p.s. Hundreds of millions of Muslims are good people who don't make trouble. Do you see CNN putting them on the news? No way! CNN and Fox and all the media must sell sensationalism. If you believe their crap you're just as bad as they are. In that case, no one owes you diddly squat.
