Yes, the middle east is unstable and this pure idiot who runs Iran is making friends with many of the countries in the Americas. Not good. The US must begin a national conscription...mandatory military service for a certain period of time for all men and many women. They should be primarily US Army. Other countries do this in order to maintain a standing army at all times. We are spread too thin and we cannot fight a war that will result in winning with the limited troops that we have. If we are attacked, we may be in deep crap because of the lack of men and military machinery.

Since Iran is land lock in reality we sent ships to the middle east which we constantly do. But yes, the ships are there as a message to the Iranian government. I doubt that the US will take on Iran without Iran's direct and overt intervention in Iraq. We just don't have the troops to fight in Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran.

And as I am sure you are aware the middle east has been unstable for over 1000 years.

Although the situation in middle east and the literature used by the governors of Iran an us to each other are not far from war language, but both governments are smart enough to not involve themselves in real war. Since Iran is hardly trying to make up its economic and tries hard to sound like a peace-looking country in foreign policies, it's not reasonable to involve itself in a war at least since it reaches a minimum power required for fighting with US. in the other hand we can consider Iran as a very powerful country in middle east and having all US int rest location in rang of their home-made missiles and also considering nuclear power US would be real stupid to start a war with such stubborn country.
there won't be a war at least for next 10 years(cross my fingers)

I would like to believe that the United States Navy are just guarding and patrolling the situation so that peace may not be in vain. I would not like to think of another war but peace because war is very devastating and people are displaced and are helpless. There will be misery of all sort and our brothers and sisters in other parts of the world will be miserable. We ask the Almighty Father to keep us all in peace!

This area has never been in peace ever since history is known. From Trojan war, pelloponnesian war, all the time it has been such. Persian war,Athenian wars examples. It is the way there.
