...Do you say something if it's not noticed by them? Remember, this is a person you just met like TWO seconds ago!

I'm sure it was an accident. No reason to mention it. It happens to everyone from time to time, I think.

You should wipe your mouth, apologise (and say something about how passionate you are about your subject if you feel brave) and then continue the conversation. If they see that you don't make a big deal out of it but are also polite about it, they'll let it pass too. Ignoring it or making it out to be something majorly embarassing can alienate them. Everyone spits while talking occasionally, it is completely natural.

Nah... just discreetly wipe the spit away and keep talking... maybe back up just a little.

Honestly, how would YOU feel if it were you who did it and someone came back with something like "say it, don't spray it?"

It's rude to point out someone else's mistake or gaffe, especially if it wasn't intentional. (And embarrassing to have your own mistakes or gaffes pointed out!!)

Your best bet is to take a small step back and ignore it.

back up a bit but keep the conversation going. breaking it up will embarass the other party more but rememer that we do that sometimes.
If u a relaxed about it, they wont feel offended
