ceramic straightener flat irons work the best. Learn how to do do a professional blowdry and then use promade. Also leave in conditioners. invest in good condtioners as think hair tends to be more corse. Get trims every couple of months and ask your stylist to layer it for you so it's just not sitting straight and poofy. You can also ask your stylist to thin out your hair.

it will never be perfectly straight and smooth. learn to love your hair.
wash it every other day - no more.
condition it like crazy.
learn to love leave in conditioners, hair gel and smoothing serums.
and get a good flat iron.
those are what will help. but honestly, you have curly hair. learn to love it. it makes life a whole lot easier!

you want it straighten? best to leave some curls. too straight is not very flattering to some faces.

i have thick hair too and learned to love it.....haha that's 'cause most of my friends envy my hair because they have fine hair......what i do is i use a moisturizing shampoo and tons of conditioner on my hair........i currently use DOVE shampoo and conditioner for medium to thick colored hair..........it works wonders for me.........it smoothes the outer hair cuticle and softens your hair and looks sleek.........
