Last weekend I hung out with the guy I"ve had a crush on for four months. It was one of the first times I"ve hung out with him. We all went out in a group sort of thing for dinner or whatever. Okay, I was such a nerd!!! THis weekend, I'm supposed to hang out with him again.

Any advice for me so that I don't get nervous-I was sooo shy last weekend. I want to be able to talk, be normal, and be myself. Help-need advice on not getting super nervous around him.

Truthfully? The butterflies will flutter in your stomach no matter what advice you get from us! That's just the way things are. If he's good about it, he won't notice or make a big deal of it. Just try not to be super-critical of yourself (that only makes things worse and more embarassing than they really are!). Also, like you said, just BE YOURSELF! With any luck, he'll love you for who you are and you'll both end up together!

Just pretend that you guys are really good friends. Understand that he probably won't judge you -- since he wants to hang out again, he's giving you the green light. Be confident. Tell yourself in the mirror every day that you're attractive and smart and comfortable around everyone.

I don't know you but I still don't get why you are nervous and jerky around this person,,,can't you just be cool and enjoy yourself...should get easier with time as you see more of each other. Social grace and being with others is something we learn as time goes on. Just let nature take its course. If you can't do this--stay away and find someone else.

Put an end to your suffering and ask him out. The worst thing that will happen is he'll say no, and you can move on. I've just never understood keeping a crush a secret.
