Movie Maker is gr8 for a job like this one, it's free and it's already in your windows xp! and u'll find helpful features ;)

http://www.download.com/ This site has all kinds of downloads there is actually a way to do that my mom did it, she made me a dvd with pictures and music on it, if you email me I can ask her the program and let you know.
