Although true love is often accompanied by strong feelings, love does not equate with the sense of floating on clouds. Unlike the type of love that movies, television, and songs portray, people in love don't always feel ooey gooey around each other.

A relationship wouldn't last long on emotions.

Infatuation

Sees the other person as perfect
Wants to get own needs met; selfish
Spends all time with the other person
Quickly "falls" for the other person
Other relationships and friendships deteriorate
Dependence on the other person causes
Jealousy frequently
Lasts for a short period of time
Distance strains and often puts an end to the relationship
Quarrels are serious and common
Quarrels can seriously damage the relationship

Love

Sees the other person's flaws and still loves them
Wants to serve the other person; selfless
Still spends time with others
Takes time to build the relationship
Other relationships and friendships grow stronger
Trust and understanding results in less severe and less frequent jealousy
Encompasses a long-term commitment
Survives and sometimes is strengthened because of distance
Quarrels are less serious and less often
Quarrels can strengthen the relationship

Love is something that cant be explained. You just have a feeling that you dont want to be with anybody else. You are content with that one person. Puppy love is sometimes taken for true love. But I know that once you find true love you will know what it is.

What I think that it most asked question n most puzzeled one.B ecause different people different views. For some love is lust ,for some love is devotion ,for some marrige material is love so there is no clear defination for all. To me love is like worship which need devotion, feelings for this devotion, and feeling should be backed by emotions. But what i feel that very few peoples are left in this world who can fulfill all qualities of true love that to get a great chemistry of mutual understanding, care, believe, do or die nature for love, independence to each others thought. I m comosed of these chemical but searching a cause to die for love, searching a person to be cause for it. Never love someone that he or she will that it should be ur weakness. But love some one so much that it will be his or her weakness.

a true love is when you can't imagine your world with out the person you love. It sounds Corny but when you can't bare the thought of not having that person in your life. I don't know what I would do without my sweetie.

a true love is when you are completely open with that person. When you feel so comfortable with them, you can do anything in front of them, say anything that is on your mind or ask them anything with out fear of judgment.

a true love is when you accept someone for who they are not matter what their flaws.

Many people mistake things like infatuation, obsession and lust for love.

M. Scott Peck in "the road less travelled" came up with a definition for love that I like the best. It went something like: "when you love someone you desire their spiritual growth". At first this seems very mundane and not at all romantic but when you really think about it its quite profound. And anyway all those crazy "butterfly-in-the-tummy", I'll die for you feelings... that's IN love. truely loveing someone is a lot more calm, deep, mature feeling.

So... if the best thing for my partner is for me not to be with them then, even though I love them and it breaks my heart, then I leave. You see? This way it's not about me, what I want and my selfish needs and crazy emotions... now it's about them.

It's also not about giving our partner everything they want... but what they need. So a loving parner will insist that an alcohlic stops drinking, or will leave... that kind of thing.

And, if you can love your partner AND be in-live with them at the same time, so much the better!

My lady and I have been together 15 years and I still somethimes get those butterflies when I see her :-)

True love is defined as "True love consists not in gazing at each other but looking together outward in the same direction."
"Romeo and Juliet" is the Greatest Love Story forever. William Shakespeare has written that Juliet loved Romeo not because of his good looks but because of his good character. I worship William Shakespeare. William Shakespeare is the Greatest Poet and Author forever.
I have read about the Indian love story of "Nala and Damayanthi". This story is also great because Nala fell in love with Damayanthi even though he had not seen her face to face. Nala will tell a swan to go to his beloved Damayanthi and convey his love to her. The swan will meet Damayanthi and tell her about Nala's love for her. Damayanthi will instantaneously fall in love with Nala. Damayanthi in her Swayamvara will choose Nala only as her husband when the Gods like Indra, Agni, Varuna and Vayu had disguised themselves as Nala to win her hand in the swayamvara. Damayanthi recognises the True Nala in the swayamvara because the Gods' feet will not touch the ground. Only The True Nala's feet touch the ground. Damayanthi could have chosen any God Indra, Agni, Varuna or Vayu as her husband. Damayanthi's love for Nala was Greatest and so she chose Nala only as her husband. Read about "Nala and Damayanthi" story.
May God bless you.

True love is a feeling - the feeling to do anything for the lover. It cannot be explained in words, it is to be experienced.

Love is the attraction of one heart towards another . The reason of attraction maybe the beauty of the heart and the nature of the person.
It is a bonding between hearts that happens without the intervention of the mind

I have two little girls in my neighbour. They are sisters, aged 6 and 4. One day I took them to ice cream parlour. Both of them are very much fond of strawberry ice cream.

I asked for two double scoop strawberry and unfortunately there was only last scoop available. I looked at both the girl's eyes and they both together said " I don't want strawberry".

I think this is love.
