if you're wanting to lose weight:
go for a managable time, it's more important that you use it everyday, than twice as long every second day. then step up to twice a day (eg. morning and evening)
if you want to build muscle:
use it on the highest resistance that you can handle, and for long periods of time instead of multiple short exercises as above :)
