I didn't injure it it just started hurting

You need to see a doctor. It is possible that you injured your tailbone without realizing it or you may have a cyst which is fairly common and very painful if not drained or removed. Five months is a long time to wait when you are having undiagnosed pain.

If this is a tailbone injury, it will take at LEAST a year to heal. Probably more like 18 months. But it will heal eventually.
Been there, done that. OUCH.

you must go to osteologist to make the requred examination and x- rayes
but mainly it is disc ( it is inflammation of vertebrae and nerve)
but happy it is easy but if it was in the neck it would be very dangerous
