First and most important don't deny yourself these things. If you deprive yourself of them you will only want them more and you will pretty soon give up. The key to sucessful, long term, sustainable weight loss is lifestyle change. You must make changes to you lifestyle you can live with forever, giving up chocolate and ice cream is not an option.
So you have recognised these as being particular issues. Obviously don't keep them in the house, if they are not there they can't tempt you. If you live with other people and they want them, tough luck, they'll have to go out and get them themselves and eat them outside. Don't go shopping when you are hungry and avoid the sections of the supermarket that sells those items. Promise yourself a treat once a week of either a small bar of chocolate or ice cream. When time comes for the treat let nothing at all distract you from it. Switch of the phone, turn of the TV, put a Do not disturb sign on your door and enjoy every single molecule of it. Once you have finished and savoured the experience for a little while go and clean your teeth so the flavour doesn't taunt you into wanting more.
Look at everything in your lifestyle and decide what has caused you the problem in the first place and what you need to change. You might find keeping a food diary helpful as it may show you which eating patterns are most destructive.
Finally forget the word diet, if you go on a "diet" you will eventually come of it and go back to the way things were, as will your weight. Permenant change is what you need to aim for so you must enjoy what you are doing.
It's very tough to do along. I couldn't, I joined Weight Watchers, best thing I ever did, I can throughly recommend it. I lost 10 kilos (22lb 7oz). That was 5 years ago and the weight stayed off.

Eat it, but get it in single serving packs, Have a trusted person control them if you can not control yourself.
Allow in your eating plan for little treats, if you don't, you will give up out of frustration.
It may take a little longer, you may lose 1 1/2 pounds a week instead of 2, but you are more likely to continue your healthy habits long after you have gotten to your desired weight.
Make sure that you are exercising, both cardio and weight lifting.

Self Control is the first and most important part if healthy living!! If you cannot contain you need for chocolate, then you need to find out why you need that chocolate and fix it. Yes people often replace food with something else they want but can't or don't have. Like sex, money, friends, education, etc. I'm not saying go to a bar, buy some friends, have sex with them and see what you leaned from the experience lol, but you should really look into why you can't ignore that piece of chocolate like you do spinnich!!!

You should check with your doctor what he/she thinks. I recommend swimming as its highly cardiovascular and its not too rough on joints, you seriously don't want to make great progress then have to lose all that in half the time due to injury. You would be more prone to knee injuries with other cardio sports like running and tennis. Swimming is honestly the best option for losing weight. I admit, it will be incredibly difficult and you'll feel like giving up, but that's where motivation comes in. Every time you feel like giving up, think about everything that motivates you, until you are fatigued. Everything that is worth something in this life has a price.

Hear that! Love that chocolate! There are a lot of companies making the 100 calorie packs that have yummy chocolate cookie wafers and a lot of ice creams are in low fat or reduced fat that taste just almost as good as the fattening ones. Smart Ones make good desserts that are less fattening too!

Get it out of your house, if you have the stuff lying around your kitchen you'll eat it. If you MUST have choco...get some of those fun size candy bars.
And you need to make a goal for yourself...buy a swimsuit that you wanna look good in and keep it in plain sight s you'll keep in mind what you're working towards.

if u want to loose your weight do physical work like digging, woodcutting, and eat less. for ex if you eat 4 chapatis eat 3. and dont eat junk foods like pizza, burger etc. take balanced diet. attend parties but dont eat more. dont eat choclates forever.
dont go shortcut for reducing weight. atleast it will take 3 tp 4 months to reduce 10 kgs.dont look at your body many times, look at your figure only once in a day. neglect peoples comments.

Get Jello Sugarfree pudding snacks, chocolate graham crackers, and sugarfree/lowfat ice cream sandwiches. That should hold you down without you overdoing it. The thing is you have to exercise too.
