Five days ago I went on a first date with a guy I met on an online dating website. We had a fun time, but apart from saying 'it was lovely to meet you' (which I initiated and he responded to) correspondence has been friendly but platonic, and only by email. I said I'd be interested in going for a coffee with him again, and he said, 'good, any time' but left it at that. Is he just keeping his options open by humouring me with (platonic) emails? Does he just want an email penpal? It would be great to get some feedback before I ask him where I stand.

The answer isnt for US here to give you. Write to him. He isnt humouring you. On the contrary. The simple fact that he continues to email you is a sign that he cares and isnt trying to humour you ar hurt you. Only you can get the best answer to your question and it is only from HIM. Maybe he doesnt want to meet again. Maybe this, maybe that. ASK HIM. please.

If this quite quite bothers you. i'd only be difficulty-free with him. tell him that you would possibly want to opt for to talk on the phone. After that....do not answer any texts from him. If he quite likes you, then he will call. If he doesn't call then he both has topics or doesn't quite care too a lot. some human beings might want to allow you to recognize to call him first. i'm no longer the type of lady both that likes calling men in the starting up yet it truly is no longer that significant of deal. do only not chase him. sturdy success.

Ask him where you stand?! You had ONE date with him! You are rushing it..slow down. If you push this your gonna scare him away and come off as desperate. Don't..if he is interested, HE will make a proposal to you. Some men like a women to be there friend FIRST before they move forward. What are you expecting from this guy?

Only time will tell. If you were really nice and good looking, he probally thinks he can find something better, but doesn't know that he won't. He probaly can't afford to call you. If he really wasn't interested, he wouldn't email, and would have dropped you like a hot potato. He does have some interest.

It sounds like he had no physical attraction for you. So after the date he has lost his interest. That's ok, happens all the time with online dating. Even the weirdest things might have set him off. Pick yourself up by your bootstraps and just keep on looking.

I hate to say it but it sounds like maybe you should keep looking. If he really wanted to go out again he would have said so. Sometimes people just don't mesh in person.

It's only been 5 days. It's very new, so give him some time.

If you want another date with him then why not try to set it up yourself. Ask him if he is available to go out this weekend or next. It may be that he is unsure where he stands with you.

i would ask him for a specific time (like Thursday at 4:00) and see if he could make it, and if he couldn't, ask him what time he would be available. if he says "i don't know, i'll have to check my schedule, i'm really busy..." he's not interested.

if he says "any time," he might mean it. he might be waiting for you to take initiative.

You never know until you talk to the guy about it.

Maybe he just isn't in a hurry.
