I'm wondering if anyone has any good sources for cheap flights to europe? I've done my 'google research', i checked kayak, expedia, travelocity and all those top web sites but all their prices are pretty much the same... i'm specifically looking to travel from chicago to frankfurt and from chicago to warsaw on a roundtrip this summer between june and august. Winter prices for those destinations are b/w $300 and $600 but for summer i can't find anything under $900... thanks for any advice in advance!

you most likly arent going to find prices below 900 dollors because it is the season. but i am looking for one for you. delta airlines is offering flight right now at about $1156 which is alot but it isnt that bad. united airlines is offering flight at about 1456. then lufthansa the german airline has flights for about $1484. foundtrip. the lufthansa one is non-stop and the other two united and delta have one stop. that is for frankfurt roundtrip.

from chicago to warsaw:
on delta in june is about $1302 and in july it is about $1354 but those most likly have a stop in them to switch planes.
on united airlines in june it is $1314 and in july it is $1259
on north west airlines in june it is about $1399 and in july it is about $1484
on lufthansa in june it is about $ 1311 but of couse all these prices change and hopefully this helps you to get the loswest fair and if you find a fair below 900 i would be careful because it might not be for reall because that would be hard to find goodluck

First, you have to look at the time of year you are travelling. Summer is the busiest time to travel to Europe and the fare is going to be double what you would find in the Winter.

All passengers want everything - for nothing.

I would look into flying with Lufthansa.
They fly non stop to Frankfurt, and with a connection in FRA to Warsaw.

The service is great, can't argue with the German efficiency, the equipment is top end, and you can avoid travelling with a US based carrier - which a lot of passengers are doing - for security and terrorist reasons.

As for the person who recommended Air India. I would be hesitant for the equipment they use for there route.

In general, it is more expensive to travel to Europe in summer than in winter.

Last fall a co-worker of mine found the cheapest way to fly from Chicago to Frankfurt was on, I kid you not, Air India. The plane was going from Chicago to Mumbai and stopped in Frankfurt.

Cannot hurt to check it out.

Sorry, I am no help on going to Warsaw.

wait until after spring break and then check again as airline fares tend to drop around this time.
