Well I lost 50 ibs in a year with this diet and exercise plan...

cardio exercise 3-5 times per week (30min or more each time)
Weight lifting every second day

Put all food on small plates so you eat less calories
No juice, no pop- too much sugar!
No chips, no pizza- too much fat!
Eat from all food groups, but in moderation
6 glasses of water per day
1-3 glasses of 1% milk per day

If you can't beat late night snacking:
Eat popcorn, pretzels, fruits or veggies instead of chips-they are way less fattening.
--------------

if that is your curret daily intake you may need to eat a little more so your body doesnt go into "starvation mode" because if it does then it will store fat instead of burn it.

Don't eat less than 1, 200 calories a day and don't eat more than 1,500 calories a day.

Fats are nothing more than stored acid. By taking alkaline food, you prevent the intake of acid to create more fats.

Read the book "pH miracle for weight loss". See photos of people losing weight at ease. If you want to loose weight super fast, there is an alkaline liquid diet. According the book, people are loosing 10 pounds or more within the first 8 days.

After that, you (like my sister who loose 8 kg) can maintain the weight by eating mostly alkaline food. No need to reduce your food portion.

I lost 50 in 4 months.

1500 calorie diet, less than 20 grams of fat / day

Exercise 5 days a week. M-W-F I use my home gym. 20-30 minutes.

T-Thu I use the treadmill, Running a mile, fast walking a half mile, slow walking a half mile.

Drink at least 2 liters of water a day. I usually use a straw of Crystal Lite lemonade in my liters of water, for flavor.

DON'T skip meals. Your body doesn't like it. My eating goes along these lines:

Breakfast (cereal with fruit, non fat milk)
Snack (fruit, no fat Dannon yogurt)
Lunch (salad with no fat dressing, low fat sandwich on lite bread)
Snack (no fat yogurt Dannon)
Dinner (salad, small portion of meat fish or pasta, low starch veggie, small potato)
Snack (100 calorie pack are great here!)

I lost 25lbs in 2.5 months on Slim Fast shakes && Special K. Just cut out anything fried, all snack food, white bread and full fat milk. Keep up with your exercise too..but for me, the biggest change came from eating right. No matter what, stick to your diet.

Oh yea...and no eating after 7pm
