well, i'm embarrassed to say, but i have a problem with 'going.' it's gotten to the point where i won't be able to go for a couple days and i'll have to resort to laxatives. i know this can't be healthy, and it sometimes give me some pretty bad cramps... to the point where it wakes me up. anyway, fiber is supposed to help with consistency and regularity. i take a multivitamin everyday but i'm not sure if it contains fiber. either way, i'd rather take in fiber naturally cause it's more easily digested and used. so, my question is... what's the best way, food wise, to get fiber into my diet?

You can also start eating that Dannon's Activia yogurt stuff. I had the same problem so I bought some to try. It's supposed to take like 2 weeks though. *yuck lol* Bananas are a good source of fiber, and yes apples and oranges are too. Sugary sweets will make you worse, so stay away from that for awhile. Try eating the "Fiber One" cereal for breakfast every morning, or any other high fiber cereal.

Eating more vegetables & fruits will help you get the fiber that you need. Other food that have fiber also include cereal, oats & other whole grain food products.
If you want it faster, try buying 'Over-the-Counter' fiber satchets like Fiber-Plus. This can be gotten in pharmacies and a pack or two per day may help faster.
Good Luck!

Finds natural foods that you like. Oranges, apples, any kind of vegetables, and buy multi grain bread instead of white bread. You may also want to up the amount of water you are drinking. This also helps alot in getting your bowels moving on time.
