Someone once called me that. I was very touched. I think it means one who is who they are, not pretending, not mean spirited or revengeful. A gentle soul. Someone who trust in the basic goodness of others and is sometimes hurt by the evil in the world, but goes on loving just the same.

Nothing immoral. Being pure in heart is not feeling pure or holy, it's simply knowing that you are sinless.
Which, of course, is kinda impossible...
Anyway, it's nothing to do with feelings. They come and go, and what's left is the essence. Strip everything bare, and there you have it, your heart. It can't be completely pure so don't expect that.

It means to have a pure, clean, sincere, blameless and innocent heart. Christians all have heart of flesh instead of stone by the grace of God (Ezek 36:26,27) and therefore their hearts can be cleansed easily by the washing with the word of God (Ep 5:26). We should therefore be glad our heart of flesh can by the power of the Holy Spirit be made pure very easily. Our hearts are therefore purified by faith as we hear and put faith in God's word.

To have a clean conscience. To know that your life is acceptable to God, meaning that you're not holding on to anything contrary to his will, that you've let go of everything that would dishonor him.
David asked God to create a clean heart in him. All those things mentioned above are things that happen over time. Conversion is a process that begins in our will. If your will is that your life is acceptable to him, that you don't hold on to anything contrary to his will, and that you do let go of anything that would dishonor him then you have a pure heart.
This is one of my favorite verses. James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
We are double minded when we have one foot on the way of the world and the other foot on the straight and narrow way. Being pure in heart means to be separate from the world.

This sentence is telling that, you should be truthful in thoughts, words and actions.
for example, if you love some body, you should do so with your thoughts, words and in actions. If not then your love is not genuine or pure love.
If purity is only in words and actions, then it will become Drama but not Love.
If the same purity is in thoughts also, then you are pure from you heart.

The pure in heart refers to individuals who's hearts are strictly devoted to God and His desires. When a person is pure in heart, you can look at his or her life and see their is no deceit, trickery, falsehood, or hidden agenda. Their actions and intensions are of a "pure" nature in regard to the things of God. Such as a person who says, "I love you". They love you with action, and not just lip service.

When you say that someone is 'pure at heart', you mean that such person does not have any negative thoughts for anyone, and does not wish bad for anybody.
Also, such a person is always content and does not have ego issues.
