well it sounds like to me that you have tried it and it didn't work out. so if the reason why you dumped him has changed i suggest that you not go there again. is he has changed, or you have changed, then talk to him about getting back together, trust me, guys rarely say no when asked out.

if you feel that you should be with him and give it another try than talk to him let him know how you feel. Tell him what went wrong last time and that you would love to just give it one more time. Just speak from your heart and how you feel. Its up to him to take a chance and see if things will work out and if its worth taking a chance. But if there really is something true there, he will see it and yous will try again.

Begging and lots of promising that you have changed your evil ways but maybe he'll just get back together with you so that he can dump you. All's fair in love and breaking-up, I wouldn't do it why give him the opportunity for revenge.

Well if you want to get back together with him then tell him when you dumped him it was a mistake and you want to get back together and anything that might change his mind like "the good old days"
