long distance relationships are hard.................
My boyfriend and I started dating earlier this year as we soon made our move to the EastCoast here in the US. However, he did warn me that after his contract project was over chances were he was gonna go somewhere else. Nonetheless, sparks flew, things happened and we got close. We both love each other very much and just about a month ago he moved away. He's very ambitious and wants to succeed in his profession as much as he can to maybe someday open up his own business. I, on the other hand, an still a college student and there's not a lot I can offer for the relationship except being strong and accept what must happen in order to achieve our goals. Unfortunately, we ended breaking up but lately I feel like he's been pushing me away purposely to toughen me up and not miss him as much. A few times he's mentioned that what we had was something and that it will always be there. He says he loves me but at the time he needs a friend..

you can be a friend. Look at him as a friend that u care for and want to be there for him, but in the end be there for yourself, u can choose to be a close friend and end up hurt or u can be the long distance friend who avoids dialing his number and doing things to take ur mind off him for your own good, so you don't end up hurt.
sounds like he can deal with this because his priority is not love or a relationship but he's career..so I suggest you become passionate about yours and distance urself from him, not for him but for you..toughen up for urself. U don't want to be hurt and in pain..u gotta be strong.
