The energy psychology called Emotional Freedom Technique has a specific Set Up designed to address a type of energy system disturbance that we refer to as psychological reversal. EFT theory holds that approximately 40% of the general population is reversed specific to the issue being treated. A greater proportion of "chronically addicted" people are psychologically reversed.... that would include the people who want to quit drinking (or smoking or doing crack) but who have a harder time actually quitting.

People can stop drinking if they don't have a drinking problem and others that keep drinking and keep doing it on a regular bases to get drunk that is called an alcoholic. Some just keep drinking that don't do it often to get loose and wild or to take away there problems . I have seen it I am usually the driver and sometimes the couples get into fights or argue and that cause the other one to drink more just to piss them off more. Hope this helps! God Bless

I never drank at all. My X passed away 2.5 years ago, I drank for 2 years, wine and wine type coolers. I stopped in August (friends were harassing me calling me and alchi) I have had 2 Mimosa's since. I think if a person is drinking the hard stuff it is harder for them to stop also. I wasn't addicted and never got drunk. But with me in anything that MAY be addictive, I say to myself "this is not what I want to do anymore" I make the choice to stop and I stop. I think it's a matter of the gene that some people supposedly have that causes them to be addictive.

It`s called addiction, the same with smoking, drugs, eating, etc.
Some people have addictive personalities and easily become addicted to whatever the vice, others do not, they can take it or leave it. It depends on the individual.

Some people become addicted, and actually feel sick if they don't drink. That's when they need help.
Others aren't so affected by alcohol, so it's not a problem for them. It's genetic.

I believe its all in your genes! Personally, I'm Irish, my blood types Budweiser, i love beer. Now me compared to say a non-Irish, my odds of quiting are less then the non-irishes odds because of my genes. I believe it also depends on the amount of time that particular person has been drinking too.

It depends upon the self determination and the will of the concerened person..a person has to feel frm the heart and make up his/her mind if he/she has to leave drinking..

Some people are addicted - some are not. OR some people just have more will-power to do so.
