Not unless it is made for that use. Mine is not a webcam.

No, not a regular digi-cam. Only specialised ones can perform the function of a web cam. Rock on bro..

Yes. However you must have the software to do it, and the camera must have a usb port. In most cases with the better cameras, it is also recommended that you use the cameras AC/DC external power and not run it on it's internal batteries.

It depends .. most low end digital cameras you can. Mid to high end usually not. Have to know what camera you have. Does it say anything in the documentation? If you can, it would say so.
