I've been trolling this site for a while now, and it seems like quite a few people have had similar stories to tell.
So yes, I think it's quite possible. A lot of what I'm seeing is maturity issues. Couples break up before either one really commits or gets to know the other person. Then they somehow wind up as good friends, then truly fall in love for the first time.

I have to agree with bridget here. It's possible, but I hated the sight of my exes so much that I'd avoid them like the plague - for a while, anyway. After that, I might speak to them again, but I have not to this day felt any desire to pursue a friendship with any of them. But I suppose it's possible.
The real question here is, if you weren't in love them, why were you in a relationship with them? I'd be more inclined to call a 'relationship without being in love' more of a 'friends with benefits' thing, and therefore my answer to this question may not be completely appropriate. But then, everyone has their own take on relationships. *shrug*
Hope this helps. :-)

Yep i broke up my boyfriend in 2001 i got married had a child and got am getting divorced as we speak, and you can bet that this old boyfriend is waiting on the sidelines for me, forgivieness and all ( that i got married and had a kid) waiting because he does truly love me. IF you love someone you can forgive mistakes, because you realize whats more important, to be with someone rather than without them.

It is very possible. Me, personally, I couldn't stand the site of ex so I stopped talking to him all together. However, if someone does get back with their ex, the odds usually do not work in their favor, so...Fight the odds! LOL.
