We have been taught that our particular religion is the only "right" one. You could say we are brainwashed. I was, but got over it by learning about other religions and studying the history of religions. I wonder what we humans would fight about if we didn't have religion. We would have to find something else I suppose. Good question.

god has not made religions,we have. all religions are pathways to reach the source / god/spiritual/cosmic energy, and all are good since they teach the people to become honest, good etc etc,.
it is the ignorant who try to force their religious beliefs on others and to convey to others, even by force in some cases, that their religion is the best. such acts prove to be counter productive. one's religion should limit itself where another's begins. respect for all religions should be inculcated from childhood. india is a secular country not from after independence but from ancient times, and religious tolerance can be seen in the edicts of ashoka's time also.
now people are moving towards spirituality which is the crux of all religions and is all encompassing.

Because its something very personal to some people. i mean, religion to some people is the ultimate point. they spend their whole lives attempting to go by the rules of their religion so that they will go to heaven or whatever they belive in.
Each person has a different view on the thing, the thing being religion, that will ultimately determine the rest of their "eternal" life.
SO of course people are gonna have different views on such an important thing.

Because Man has a will. He must believe & impose His will on Himself and His fellow Man everyday of the week. All the more the Man abides in accourdance to the Mans will, all the more they seem to get along with one another. Anything less than doing the Mans will....... means WAR!!!!

It's about "beliefs" not " truth". They figure the more people "believe" in the same way the more "truth" there is to there "belief". But look at the ones who "knew" the "truth", few followers and even less that truly understood.
