If it says "for drinks" and contains no alcohol it is okay. I used to work at a grocery store and people would get all made about the "alcohol free" beer. It **HAS** like 0.5% alcohol, therefore you ***still*** had to be 21. I am sure it is the same there in South Carolina. Generally the drink mixes for margaritas (unless it says "alcohol already added") have no 0% alcohol in them. I had young people buy them all the time.

If you can get into the store to buy it, then you can buy it. Some states (like Indiana) do not allow anyone under 21 to even enter the premises, though.
If you are buying from a grocery store, then it is no problem at all. If the clerk gives you any flak, tell them that it is not beer or liquor, and that you are using it to make ice cream.

No..only if there is alcohol. Though I live in Illinois. I know your area of the country is stricter about alcohol, ...but still. I can't see that being different. If it doesn't have alcohol..it doesn't.
You also don't have to be 21 to buy cooking wine.

Yes you need to 21 to buy any drink that has a drop of alcohol content in it.

Might want to check the local laws, but as long as it doesn't have any alcohol in it, you're good to go.
