The sad truth of it all is that the human race disrespects the human race by inventing religion. Do we think that little of ourselves as a species that we would give someone else all the credit for who we are, and give someone else all the blame for who we aren't?! Not only has religion played a major part in most if not all recent wars, it will be the cause of the next major conflict.

Originally religion had a peaceful intent. For example Mohammed wanted peace and equality for everyone, men and women. Now f**ked up extremists like Osama and organized churches have distored religion.
Also buddhists are monotheists to the other guy who answered.

A man is judged by his enemies, not his friends. You don't fight someone you don't respect, you just beat them like a dog. Religion will absolutely bring wars. You don't kill someone unless you love them.
