I want to create a video using "Adobe Captivate". Want to know which format is to be selected as Output to reduce the file size?

i find AVI's to be quite small in size compared to other formats. Quality is reasonable too..

There really is no format that compresses the best. It depends on the video you're displaying. I have created a list below, take a look at it to see which type of compression suits the video best:

AVI: cartoons, short clips for uploading to a site, video game recordings, screen recordings

MPEG: movies, recorded TV shows

Flash (SWF/FLV): low-res video, animations, screen recordings

WMV: cartoons, animations

smaller for today is AVC ( H.264 )

well i don't know anything "about adobe" but i think '3gp' is the smallest
