There will always be those who walk around assuming they know it all. I'm not Irish that I know of but I do enjoy a Guinness as well as Irish Car Bombs, but don't go assuming that is all I like to drink. All I want to say is you go ahead and drink what you like and don't listen to those who think they know it all. You and I know they don't.

Are you even Irish? You come accross as of Irish descent but excuse me if I'm wrong.

But, all things being equal, Irish blood wont make your fondness for beer any stronger. That's like saying having English blood makes you unreasonably attatched to drinking tea and eating fish and chips. Yet I've never heard any Americans of Irish descent saying that. Probably because of how absurd it sounds.

Although I get where you're comming from. Being born and brought up in Ireland myself. When I visit other countries I get the old "You're a fan of the black stuff then!" to which I reply "Yes of course I am, being Irish, it's the only bleedin' thing I drink!!".

But just between me and you, I actually prefer Smithwicks and some of of the English bitters. We don't have much good beer here, Smithwicks, Kilkenny and Guinness is all we have going for us. The rest of the country drink pale largers... *puke*

Well Guinness is from Ireland so that's probably the main reason why. When I was there it was everyone and all the gift shops sold tons of Guinness apparel. That's my guess. But the beer is great though!

I get the same thing dude. On St. Patrick's Day, people are always asking if I'll be drinking green beer and having haggis. Idiots. Comes with being Irish. It's worth it though isn't it?

Same old story?

Stereotyping.

Irish are drinkers

Scots are cheap

Germans are arrogant

French are "French"

Italians are all Mafia

However, all of the above can accept a good joke about their national stereotype. Some other nationals can't do that.
